Robert Forsaith was born in Shoreditch, London, Middlesex, on 11 July 1820.2,1,3 and was baptised on 7 August 1820 at St Lukes Independent Tabernacle in Finsbury.2,4

He was listed in the 1841 census at 10 Curtain Rd, Tower Hamlets in St Leonards Shoreditch, Middlesex; he was a bank clerk. The household included Josiah Forsaith, Samuel Smyth Forsaith, Elizabeth Emberson and Elizabeth (---?---).5

He married Rebecca Smyth Mitchell, daughter of Edward Mitchell and Rebecca Osment Smyth, in Hackney, London, Middlesex, on 26 August 1845.2,1,6

He was listed in the 1851 census as Head of Family at 5 Albion Rd East in Stoke Newington, London, Middlesex, with his wife Rebecca; he was clerk to a Barrister. Their children Hephzibah and Edith were listed as living with them.7

Robert was named executor and beneficiary in the will of William Smyth Forsaith, his cousin, dated 27 June 1853 in Cornwall; his reward was limited to a payment of ten guineas, as the bulk of the estate went to William's wife Clara.8

Robert Forsaith and Clara Lydia Bolton Twynam were appointed administrators of William Smyth Forsaith's estate in London, Middlesex, on 10 October 1853.8

Their children Edith and Florence were listed as living with them, as was Robert's niece Mary Forsaith Mitchell.3

He was widowed at age 60 on the death of his wife Rebecca on 2 May 1881.1,12,13,14

Robert died on 23 May 1883 at Fitzroy House, 16 Fitzroy Square in Pancras, London, Middlesex, at age 62.15,16,17,18,19 He was buried on 26 May 1883 at the Abney Park Cemetery in Stoke Newington.2,20

His will was probated in London on 14 June 1883 with Alfred Wilberforce Hall appointed executor.21

His will was probated in London on 30 June 1890 with Edith Madeline Forsaith appointed executrix of a personal estate of £1259/17/-, resworn at £1407/14/- as of Feb 1900.22

Robert Forsaith was born in Braintree, Essex, on 13 August 1781.2,3 He was baptised at Bocking Independent in Bocking, Essex, on 19 September 1781.3,4

He married Mary Smyth, daughter of John Smyth and Sarah Osment, at St Mary in Hornsey, London, Middlesex, on 26 January 1810.1,5,6

He signed a will dated 5 September 1817 at Wades Place, Mile End Row in Middlesex, naming his brother Samuel and a cousin David HOWARD as executors, and his wife, their three children, and his step-daughter as beneficiaries.7

Robert died on 16 October 1817 in Middlesex at age 36.1,2,8 He was buried on 22 October 1817 at the Bunhill Fields Dissenter's Cemetery.9,8,10

Robert Forsaith was born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, in 1749.1,2

He was named as a beneficiary of the will of Samuel Forsaith, his father, dated 19 June 1751 in Bloxholm, Lincolnshire; he was to receive £75 on attaining 21 years of age.3

He was named as a beneficiary of the will of Elizabeth Willoughby, his mother , dated 24 June 1774 in New Sleaford, Lincolnshire; he was to receive £120, one ring and some silver.4

According to his obituary, he "received his grammar learning at the free-school there, under the tuition of the Rev. Mr Gunnell. Entered the academy at Hoxton, in 1765, then under the direction of the Rev. Doctor Moreton Savage, Dr Rees and Dr Kippis. In 1770, he was settled as a dissenting minister at Norwich, and continued there about thirteen years; when he removed to a congregation at Oundle, in Northamptonshire. In 1788 he was appointed classical tutor in the academy at Daventry, and upon its removal to Northampton the following year, continued to fill the same office there."1

He signed a will dated 20 June 1797 in New Sleaford, Lincolnshire.5

Samuel Forsaith was born in Braintree, Essex, on 27 April 1776.2,1,3,4 and was baptised on 4 June 1776 at Bocking Independent in Bocking.2,4,5

Samuel and Elizabeth applied for a marriage licence at London, Middlesex, on 4 November 1800.6

He married Elizabeth Smyth, daughter of John Smyth and Sarah Osment, at St Bartholomews the Great in Shoreditch, London, Middlesex, on 6 November 1800.2,1,7,8

He was widowed at age 33 on the death of his wife Elizabeth on 23 September 1809.2,9,1

Samuel's second marriage was to Elizabeth Emberson, daughter of John Emberson and Hannah Westly, on 4 October 1810 at St Faiths, Old Change in London, Middlesex.2,1,10,11

He was the plaintiff in a law suit at London, Middlesex, on 18 September 1811. He had been the victim on the previous Thursday of the theft of a pair of stockings, value 2s 9d by a William GOODWIN - he was judged not guilty, non compis mentis.12

He was named as a beneficiary of the will of John Forsaith, his uncle, dated 13 October 1813 in London, Middlesex; he was to receive £200.13 He was a party in a lawsuit at the Old Bailey in London, Middlesex, on 16 February 1814. On 21 Jan one Elizabeth Bannister allegedly stole 15 yds of ribbon, value 6 shillings from the Forsaith haberdashery at 52 Norton Falgate. She was judged guilty of stealing, to the value of 10 pence, confined to Newgate for 1 month, and fined 1 shilling.12

Samuel was named executor of the will of Robert Forsaith, his brother, dated 5 September 1817 at Wades Place, Mile End Row in Middlesex.14

He was appointed executor of Robert Forsaith's estate on 15 November 1817, along with David SEWARD.14

He declared bankruptcy in London, Middlesex, on 21 January 1824.15

He was named as a beneficiary of the will of Elizabeth Forsaith, his aunt, dated 1 June 1824 in New Sleaford, Lincolnshire; he was only named in a codicil to the will, which established him as being on the same terms as his siblings, namely to inheritance of 1/5th of the estate.16

Samuel died on 11 July 1832 at 2 Plummer St, City Road in London, Middlesex, at age 56 of cholera.2,9,1 He was buried on 13 July 1832 at the Bunhill Fields Dissenter's Cemetery.17,9,18
