     Vera was born in Dunedin, Otago, on 3 October 1885.¹
She married Peter Snodgrass PATERSON in New Zealand in 1938.²
Vera died on 14 November 1975 in Hastings, Hawkes Bay, at age 90.³ Her ashes were interred on 1 December 1975 at Dunedin, Otago, at Northern Cemetery.⁴

      John MOODY was also known as John MUDIE. John was born in Newburn, Fife, circa January 1811. He was baptised on 27 January 1811 in Newburn.¹
He married Amelia CHRISTIE in Dundee, Forfar, on 4 November 1836.² He was recorded as a carpenter at time of his marriage (1836) and there has been some suggestion that he was a ship's Captain,who died off Land's End, possibly being buried at sea. However there is no supporting evidence, so he may possibly have served as a ship's carpenter.

She married Thomas MARSHALL in Stockton, Durham, between March 1844 and June 1844.^1,2 Isabella was listed as Thomas MARSHALL's wife in the 1861 census in Newsham, Northumberland.¹ She was listed as Thomas MARSHALL's wife in the 1871 census at 7 Double Row, Weetslade in Dudley, Northumberland.³ She was listed as head of household in the 1881 census at 22 Double Row in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland.⁴ The house contained three boarders, all coal miners.⁴

     She married Arthur Cornish Jeremie STEVENS in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, between April 1907 and June 1907.¹
