After serving as curate at Mountain Ash (1908-10) he went to St Jude's, Sheffield. In 1910 he was ordained priest and was appointed vicar at Leavenheath, Colchester in 1912, later becoming Rector of Wiston.
During WWI he served as chaplain with the Royal Navy. In his later years he became unwell, possibly as a result of his wartime service. He had been on a trip to Sth Africa for his health, but suffered a heart attack and returned only a few days before his death.7

He was listed in the 1921 census as Head of Family at The Vicarage in Nayland with Wissington, Suffolk; he was the Rector of the parish of WIssington.8

William died on 7 February 1924 in Toddington, Bedfordshire.9

His will was probated in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, on 26 April 1924 with Edith Victoria Randell appointed administrator of an estate valued at £316/18/8.9

Charles Reid was born in Logierait, Perthshire, on 22 January 1828.1 and was baptised on 24 January 1828 in Logierait.1

He signed a will dated 28 October 1880 in Dunedin, Otago, in which he appointed his sons Robert and Donald executors and benificiaries of his whole estate, and specifically excluded his sons John and Charles from any inheritance. The will was the subject of a legal challenge and a lengthy court case brought by his grand-child Charlotte Thyne Bradley, which ran until June 1907.2

Charles died on 8 September 1897 in San Mateo, California, at age 69.2

Donald Reid was born in Logierait, Perthshire, on 10 May 1805. He was the son of Alexander REID and Isabel FORBES.1 He was baptised in Logierait, Perthshire, on 12 May 1805.1

He married Margaret McGregor, daughter of Alexander McGregor and Margaret McFarlane, in Logierait, Perthshire, on 15 May 1825.2

He was a farmer, then later a spirit dealer in Edinburgh.

Donald died on 18 March 1844 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, at age 38.3
