She was listed in the 1921 census at 4 Hayle Rd in Maidstone, Kent, with her father William Jennings Hepburn Whyte (a Clerk in Holy Orders and schoolmaster at Maidstone Grammar), mother Grace Eliza and twin sister Grace Kathleen Hepburn.⁵

She was listed in the 1939 Register at The Rectory, Commonside in Bromley, Kent; she was a nurse, a full-time member of the VAD and was living with her parents William WHYTE (Rector) and Grace WHYTE.⁴

Eirene's marriage to Daniel Carpenter was registered on 24 October 1947 in Bromley, Kent.^6,7

She was widowed at age 55 on the death of her husband Daniel on 24 September 1966.^8,9

She was appointed executrix of Daniel Carpenter's estate in London on 28 November 1966, along with Frederick William DURHAM.⁸

Eirene's second marriage was to Ian Gordon Macdonald, son of Alexander Gordon Macdonald and Flora Macdonald, on 2 October 1971 in Uckfield, Sussex.^10,11

Archibald's death was registered between January 1940 and March 1940 in Edmonton, Middlesex.⁷

Arthur John Wicks was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, on 25 October 1852.^1,2 and was baptised on 4 September 1853 at St Marys in Portsea.³

Charlotte died on 19 November 1946 in Auckland.^2,3 Her ashes were buried at Waikumete Cemetery in Waitakere.⁴
