She was attending the Edjarta House School at St Sidwell at the time of the 1891 UK census as a boarder, with her sister Ethel. This was a small school of only 10 pupils, under Frances HALLORAN, school-mistress.3

She married William Menzies Coldstream, son of William Coldstream and Fanny Caroline George Anson, at St Paul's Cathedral in Calcutta, Bengal, on 29 July 1897.4

She was widowed at age 69 on the death of her husband William on 10 November 1943.5,6

She was appointed executrix of William Menzies Coldstream's estate on 15 February 1944.6

Precisely which location he was actually present at is unclear. Their children Elizabeth and Patience were listed as living with them, but the children's names are given as Bettine Deans and Virginia Deans and their mother's name as Nancy.6,7

He was listed in the 1939 Register at 'Glen Y Mor', Marine Parade in Gosport, Hampshire, with Annie Elizabeth Morison; he was a retired Colonel of the Royal Engineers and volunteer warden. Patience Virginia Deans Stevens was listed as living at the same address.3

Arthur died on 5 January 1962 in Gosport, Hampshire, at age 86.8,9

He rose to be Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Medical Service (A Force, No. 8A Gen. Hospital) and served in the Chitral (1895) and Tirah (1897-8) campaigns.5

Cecil died on 18 November 1919 at Lyncourt in Paignton, Devon, at age 52.6 He was buried at the Paignton Cemetery in Paignton.7
